Welcome2Africa is proud to present the first Digital tour guide. In a world first, the Welcome Tourism Services Audio Travel's dedicated tourist information system will entertain and inform you about local hotspots, destination highlights and nice-to-know facts to maximise any self drive experience.

You can tour at their own pace without missing all the benefits of a guided tour. The new satellite-linked system is triggered according to the vehicle's positioning, and is programmed to feed information about the areas clients travel through.

It is easy to use - clients simply select the information level they prefer and let our Audio Travel system do the rest. Audio Travel works through the CD shuttle selection of the car radio if installed in the vehicle or through a compact mobile unit. Use the CD shuttle keys to change the music selection or to enter the menu system. The system provides a selection of music to suit individual tastes, including a choice of classics, local South African music or current rock and pop. Personalised content or language options are also available at the push of a button.

Information commentary will politely interrupt the smooth sounds of the music as you drive past significant historical landmarks and places of interest. For those looking for shopping options, destination-shopping info is also available. Information on restaurants and places of interest is also provided.

There are many pre-recorded tours on the market but with unpredictable traffic flow and variance in travelling speeds, they often don’t have the desired effect. The Audio Travel Digital Tour Guide is position triggered so it automatically plays the correct information as your vehicle approaches the landmarks with the added value of having music and information tailor made to clients needs.

The latest in satellite technology will keep clients entertained and informed as they enjoy their self drive, adding value, interest and enjoyment to their visit. Welcome2Africa believes that this innovative new product will add great value to any self drive through South Africa.

- Audio Travel units can be collected/returned at the Cell C Rentals counters at JNB, DUR, PLZ and CPT Airports
- We advise booking this product in conjunction with a Meet & Greet service
- All rentals include Theft Insurance in the daily rate, however an insurance excess of R350.00 will be charged. The insurance does not include loss or damage cover, clients will remain
fully liable for the full value of the mobile unit in cases of loss or damage.
