This
awe-inspiring tour will be one of lifes highlights for any globetrotter
seeking to explore South Africas coastline. Experience beautiful
rugged seashores and a rich cultural diversity. The itinerary encompasses
all of the highlights you would expect from the Western Cape
Coast to the shores of the Eastern Cape. From time to time, the tour
takes you inland for not-tobe-missed experiences but mostly you
hug the coastline and marvel at the scenic beauty and the coastal diversity
of The Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
Day
1:
After arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by
a Welcome Tourism Services representative, handed your world-class documentation
and assisted to the Europcar car rental counter to collect your vehicle.
Travel to The Bay Hotel for your three night stay, from where you may
embark on a discovery tour of Cape Town and its environs. Alternatively,
walk across the road to the world famous Camps Bay Beach and revel in
the cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Day
2 and 3:
The Bay Hotel has proven over the years that 5 star elegance and sophistication
can be achieved in an informal atmosphere. The Bay is the perfect base
from which to explore the wonders of the area and within easy reach
of the most celebrated scenic attractions. Alternatively choose from
a variety of Welcome Tourism Services half or full Day Tours.

Day 4, 5 and 6:
After breakfast, visit the wild flowers (seasonal) en route to Clanwilliam
and the Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve. This lodge is renowned for
its warm hospitality, contemporary country cuisine, an award-winning
wine list and luxurious accommodation.
This spectacular Cape wilderness reserve is a Natural Heritage Site
and boasts the world's largest open-air art gallery with more than 125
pristine rock art sites, some dating back 10 000 years. The reserve
is home to 34 species of mammals, 140 bird species and 755 plant species.
Activities include: game drives, rock art, geological and botanical
walks, mountain biking, abseiling, fly-fishing and canoeing.

Day
7 and 8:
After breakfast, travel through the wheat fields of the Swartland, the
winter breadbasket of South Africa, to the historical town of Tulbagh.
Continue onto Stellenbosch, famed for its beautiful Cape Dutch architecture
and good wines. The historic River Manor Country House & Spa is
a two-minute stroll from the village centre, museums and a wide variety
of restaurants.

Day
9:
After breakfast, spend the morning exploring the winelands of Stellenbosch
and Franschoek. Head out along the Indian Ocean coastline onto the quaint
seaside town of Hermanus for lunch and per chance a whale sighting (seasonal).
Continue for a short distance to Gansbaai and the exclusive Grootbos
Nature Reserve for your 2 night stay. The Nature Reserve is situated
on the hills above Walker Bay, which is world renowned for its natural
beauty. White sandy beaches are interspersed by wave-swept caves once
inhabited by humans, while the inland mountains are home to some of
the richest flora on earth.

Day
10:
Each of the spacious private, luxury cottages has it's own secluded
balcony with panoramic views. The reserve is a haven for nature enthusiasts
and the many activities include: horse riding, nature and beach walks,
whale and shark watching (seasonal), coastal archaeological tours, forest
and Fynbos meanders.

11:
After breakfast your journey continues via Swellendam, Mossel Bay and
Knysna to Plettenberg Bay. The plethora of beautiful beaches in the
centre of the Garden Route is surrounded by the Tsitsikamma and Outeniqua
Mountains and engulfed by indigenous forests. Plettenberg Park is a
five star boutique hotel offering panoramic views of the Robberg Peninsula
and Indian Ocean. Situated in a proclaimed private nature reserve, Plettenberg
Park ensures total exclusivity, privacy and dedication to personalised
service.

12:
Enjoy the day at leisure. Perhaps visit the Tsitsikamma National Park,
some 100 km of coastal beauty offering many scenic trails meandering
through the tangle of trees, visit the coastal towns of Knysna and Plettenburg
Bay, walk Robberg or simply relax on one of the many beaches on offer.

13:
Today, your trip ends at George airport. Drop your rental vehicle off
before checking in for your return flight home.
