In 1898 President Kruger signed a proclamation which established the first large wildlife reserve in Africa. It was an auspicious day for conservation. Today the sanctuary has grown into the internationally renowned Kruger National Park. It forms the focus of our four day wildlife adventure, enhanced with a taste of Mpumalanga’s stunning scenery.

DAY 1: MPUMALANGA
Our route takes us from Pretoria to the scenic splendour of Mpumalanga. Explore Pilgrim’s Rest, where the main street remains unchanged since the days of the gold rush. Discover the cascading waterfalls and eroded rock sculptures at Bourke's Luck Potholes. Truly spectacular viewpoints await us at Blyde River Canyon, overlooked by the mountains known as the Three Rondavels.

DAY 2: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
View the Berlin Falls and God’s Window, with its stunning outlook across the lowveld. Try out the option of an exhilarating bungi swing* through the gorge at Graskop Falls before continuing on to Kruger National Park. Established over 100 years ago, its pioneering history is fascinating. Entering the park, our search for its abundant wildlife begins. Our drive brings us to one of the rest camps in the southern section, where we pitch our tents for a two-night stop.

DAY 3: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Our morning game drive begins in the early light of dawn. This is Big 5 country and the excitement of encountering the magnificent elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo or even leopard, will remain with you long afterwards. It may also be possible to organize an optional foot safari* with an armed ranger. Venturing out of camp after dark, we continue our hunt with a night drive*. The reflecting eyes in the night will form one of your lasting memories.

DAY 4: PRETORIA
Hoping for a final glimpse of game, we reluctantly leave the Park at the Malelane Gate and cross the Crocodile River. Simply relax as you transfer back to Pretoria, savouring many memories of the Magic of Kruger.
