Xakanaxa Camp - Moremi Wildlife Reserve
Set in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, which is rated as being one of the finest game viewing areas in Africa, Xakanaxa Camp has one of the best locations in Botswana. The camp faces over the Xakanaxa Lagoon on the Khwai River and is one of the only camps to offer guests an all year round combination land and water experience. Safaris to discover the abundant bird and wildlife are undertaken in open 4x4 land rovers, by powerboat and traditional dugout canoe (mokoro). The game drives in this sector of Moremi take one through mopane forests and across lush savannah grasslands. Birding in the area is excellent, especially in the spring and summer months when the migrants are breeding. To the north are the world famous heronries, which attract large numbers of breeding storks and herons. Xakanaxa comprises twelve tents, each tastefully furnished with twin or double beds and en-suite facilities with shower, hand basin and w.c. The tents are situated at the waters edge with private viewing decks and comfortable loungers looking onto the reeded fringes. The camp has a dining room, lounge/bar area, curio shop, fire deck, plunge pool and sala all slightly raised on wooden platforms with spectacular views over the lagoon.

Situated next to Xakanaxa Main Camp, Pandani's comprises of four of the Xakanaxa Camp tents which may be reserved for exclusive use for a maximum of eight guests. With its own private elevated wood and thatch lounge including private dining area with separate service kitchen, fire-deck, swimming pool with sundeck and sala, Pandani's is the ideal hideaway for families, small groups of friends or executives seeking privacy or wanting to celebrate a special occasion or anniversary. Each tent has twin or double beds, en-suite facilities and private viewing decks overlooking the Xakanaxa Lagoon. It is one of the only camps in Botswana to offer guests an all year round combination land and water experience; safaris to discover the abundant wildlife and exceptional bird life of the area are undertaken in open 4x4 land rovers, as well as by powerboat and traditional dugout canoe (mokoro). Your personal Pandani's host will cater to your every need while your personal safari guide will conduct all your safari activities on a private basis on a private landrover, boating or mokoro safari, to discover the myriad wildlife, birding and nature attractions of this most beautiful of locations in Africa.
