1
Depart Joburg for Dar es Salaam, where we overnight before joining
our flight for Pemba, Northern Mozambique

2 & 3
With all the facilities and activities that a modern 5 star hotel
has to offer, from scuba diving to water skiing, or just indulging
yourself relaxing on the pristine white sand, Pemba Beach Hotel will
satisfy the needs of the most wary traveller.

Leaving the delights of the hotel behind us for a day, we fly you
to an island that seems to have been lost in the sands of time. Ibo,
or Ilha Do Ibo, is part of the untouched Querimba Archipelago and
it reflects a history spanning almost two millennia. Retrace the footsteps
of traders and invaders from distant lands brought here the winds
and ocean currents.

5,6,7 & 8
Back in Pemba you will have the opportunity to explore the town, relax
on the beach or partake in the many activities such as deep sea fishing,
scuba diving, skiing, island hopping to name but a few. Also on offer
is a day trips or overnight to Ilha do Mozambique or Matemo Island*.

9 & 10
After an overnight in Dar es Salaam we head onto Arusha and Manyara
National Park. The majority of the park is covered by water, on the
shores of which live the legendary, tree climbing, Manyara lions.
Manyara boasts over 380 bird species, making this stop a must for
enthusiasts.

11 & 12
After a morning game drive we leave the lake and head for Ngororogoro
Crater. Rightly labelled on of the natural wonders of the world, the
crater is actually an extinct volcano. The dramatic descent down the
crater wall, which then acts as a backdrop to your game viewing is
just part of this awesome experience.

13 & 14
Carrying on north we enter the Serengeti National Park, Which is home
to over 3 million large mammals. Covering an area of 13 000 square
kilometres, it lies between the shores of lake Victoria in the west,
Lake Eyasi in the south and the Great Rift Valley to the east, making
it one of the most diverse and least disturbed eco-systems in the
world.

Heading back to Arusha we leave the open plains behind us with a flight
over the Serengeti which offers an unparalleled, aerial view of this
magnificent landscape. From
Arusha we make our way to Dar es Salaam where we overnight before
joining our flight for Johannesburg, taking away a treasure chest
full of memories.
