7 DAYS/6 NIGHTS - WINDHOEK TO WINDHOEK

A 7 day roundtrip including the red sands of the Kalahari Desert, the majestic Fish River Canyon and the world’s highest sand dunes in the Namib Desert at Sossusvlei.

Day 1
Depart Windhoek and drive via Rehoboth to Hardap Dam. Continue into the Kalahari Desert and overnight. Enjoy a scenic drive in an open safari vehicle to view the spectacular desert sunset.
Kalahari region (Auob Lodge or similar) – dinner, bed and breakfast basis

Day 2
After breakfast, drive through the Kalahari and visit the Kokerboom forest near Keetmanshoop. A stop in Keetmanshoop offers an opportunity to enjoy lunch (not included). Continue via Naute Dam and view the Fish River Canyon’s most spectacular northern fringes.

Day 3
Our day’s touring begins with driving towards the Atlantic coast via Bethanie and Aus. En route, there is a chance to see the rare desert adapted horses whilst entering the Namib Desert. Enjoy spectacular scenery en route to the town of Lüderitz where we arrive around midday. During the afternoon experience a scenic drive around the southern peninsula.
Lüderitz region (Guesthouse zur Waterkant or similar) – dinner, bed and breakfast basis

Day 4
After breakfast we visit Kolmanskop, a deserted diamond town which has become a present day museum. Your midday meal will be enjoyed in the form of a packed lunch en route or at a farm. After lunch visit Duwisib Castle en route to Maltahöhe.

Day 5
An early start to the day with a visit to Sossusvlei. Enjoy a scenic drive with 4x4 vehicles into the heart of the Namib Desert. Our day continues as we visit Sesriem Canyon and the village of Solitaire passing the Naukluft Mountains along the way.
Namib Naukluft region (Rostock Ritz or similar) – dinner, bed and breakfast basis

Day 6
After breakfast, drive through Kuiseb Canyon and continue back toward the Atlantic coastline. Enjoy a packed lunch en route. View the unique 'Welwitschia Mirabilis', a plant that is said to grow older then 1 100 years. The day continues with a visit to 'Moonlandscape' and Walvis Bay before arriving in the town of Swakopmund.
Swakopmund (Hansa or Eberwein Hotel) – lunch packs, dinner, bed and breakfast basis

Day 7
Visit Walvis Bay Lagoon to view various seabirds. Continue inland towards the towns of Usakos and Karibib, where we visit Henckerts Centre. Visit Herero graves and a handcraft market in Okahandja before returning to Windhoek. Drop off at your hotel or the airport.
